About Esther Jane
Esther Jane was my great grandmother;s name. A name I hold very dear. Esther Jane embodies creativity, strength, determination, kindness, care, practicality and beauty.
With a long line of strong and creative women in my family, producing art and craft of sorts has been at the core of my existence as long as I can remember. Colour, shape, line, texture are all celebrated in the range of products I make and sell. From my statement earrings and wood prints to the hand made baskets I create.
Each work, piece or pair all hold a moment in time that explored an idea of mine, a feeling, a moment of inspiration. Material choices and processes are important - sustainable, good for the body, light and functional, using a balance of the latest manufacturing technologies and age old art techniques. I tap into my training in fine arts, interior design, digital media, project management and the school of life to produce unique, interesting, fun and functional pieces.
My love of fashion, art and design has led to the creation of Esther Jane. An eco friendly timber earring line conceived in 2016. With a background in Fine Art and Digital Media and an extensive earring collection I wanted to create a line of earrings that can be both fun and wild and soft and calm but most of all, lightweight and wareable! Earrings that don’t weigh me down. Combining traditional art practices, digital editing tools and industry standard, eco-friendly manufacturing processes we have Esther Jane timber earrings.
